Everyone...I I wake up to see a bit of news...that broke my heart... Akira Toriyama, the creator of the lengedary manga Dragon Ball, has passed away... We lost one of the greats, one who REALLY inspired generations of mangaka. Eiichoro Oda (One Piece creator) and Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto creator) both are influenced by this man and had the honor of meeting him since...like i said DB is THAT big when it comes to influence, it was everywhere...and to hear the man behind the legendary icon gone is just...shocking. He was also the guy who was the character designer of the Dragon Quest series. I also have something to confess...growing up in the 90s yes I watched anime, only being Pokemo and Yu-Gi-Oh which has a very a special plaec in my heart (rest in peace Takahashi-Sensei...) but when i entered secondary school...I tried to move on from those "kid cartoons" I used to call them. And it wasn't because I was going through an edgy phase to be like "Ha! Those kids cartoons? PLEASE!"
